DISCOVER GEOPANEL

Geopanel was launched in 2005 making it the first recycled plastic formwork

Mirco Pegoraro, Geoplast CEO, launched Geopanel on 12 Oct 2005 as the first reusable recycled plastic formwork. The goal was to make formwork lighter, modular and more reusable. In the 21 years since, Geopanel has grown from an innovation into a reference product for contractors who want predictable performance and economic benefits.

Geopanel has been used globally in 100s of projects

Over 21 years, Geopanel has been used in hundreds of projects on 6 continents, replacing metal and wood formwork with recycled plastic:

Terminal 1 Center, San Francisco International Airport, USA

Terminal 1 Center at San Francisco International Airport was rebuilt as part of a $2.4 billion reconstruction, inside an existing structure with limited space and difficult access. Geopanel was used to cast pile caps and concrete walls without cranes or heavy machinery, cutting transport costs.

Carlsberg City District, Copenhagen, Denmark

Geopanel was used to cast new concrete partition walls at Copenhagen’s former Carlsberg brewery, now converted into hotels, offices and housing. Geopanel suited the confined interiors, small crew and cut time and costs.

Palazzo Canova complex, Padua, Italy

Palazzo Canova is a seven-apartment residential complex in Noventa Padovana, near Padua, Italy. Its concrete walls were cast with Geopanel, a modular recycled plastic formwork, to meet the project’s finish and material quality requirements.

University O&M, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic

The O&M University Medical School consists of two connected concrete towers in a dense urban area of the Dominican Republic, where limited site access made moving equipment and materials difficult. Geopanel’s lightweight panels were ideal for manual handling and assembly.

Private residence, King Island, Australia

On remote King Island, a couple built their own home despite strong winds, frequent rain, limited local supply and costly transport. Geopanel’s lightweight panels were assembled by hand without tools, reused throughout the build and left an exposed concrete finish.

Geopanel makes projects more sustainable and profitable

Geopanel is a modular formwork system made from recycled plastic. The main benefits of using Geopanel are:

– Compact and stackable, lowering transport and storage costs,

– Light enough for manual handling, reducing crane use on dense or difficult sites,

– Quick to assemble with patented locking handles for fast, secure connections, reducing labour peaks,

– Clean stripping and a high-quality concrete finish,

– Easy to wash and prepare for the next pour,

– Over 100 uses per panel,

– Leaner construction and lower overall costs, supporting sustainable profitability.
