Skynet

Modular formwork for more sustainable and economic structural fills and height compensations

NEW

Geoplast Skynet

Skynet is a disposable recycled plastic formwork for concrete structural fills and height compensations.

Compared to the unstable and unsustainable fill materials such as compacted soil and gravel, Skynet creates high load-bearing ribbed slabs supported by structural pillars that are fully compliant with Eurocode (EC2), NTC2018, and ACI213.

Skynet is intuitive and simple to install, allowing over 80 % construction time savings. It is composed of a base grid, Ø250 or Ø300 mm pipes for the casting of structural pillars, and Ø125 mm pipes that support the top formwork for the casting of raised slabs.

Skynet reduces the use of concrete by creating lightened, bidirectional slabs of a 25-35 cm height. It also leaves the Ø125 mm pipes empty during the casting phase, conveying concrete only to the supporting structures: the structural pillars and the raised slab.

Skynet is modular, allowing slab heights of up to 3 m and varying distances of pillars, depending on project requirements.

Skynet can be installed over both foundations and expanding soils. Its Flex Base is specifically designed to adapt to soil expansions and prevent the deformations of the bearing structure.

Advantages

  • SUSTAINABLE CONSTRUCTION
  • INCREASED PROFITABILITY IN CONSTRUCTION
  • HIGH LOAD-BEARING CAPACITY
  • COMPLIANCE WITH INTERNATIONAL REGULATIONS
  • INTUITIVE AND FAST INSTALLATION
  • SAVING OF CONCRETE
  • INSTALLATION OVER FOUNDATIONS OR EXPANDING SOIL

Solutions

FIELD OF APPLICATION

Skynet concrete fill over foundations

1. OVER FOUNDATIONS

Skynet concrete fill over expanding soil

2. OVER EXPANDING SOILS

FLEX BASE

Skynet Flex Base

Flex Base is an important innovation that makes Skynet perform well in any conditions, particularly in the presence of expanding soil. Flex Base is designed to support the vertical pipes during the casting phase and at the same time provide flexibility to the system, dissipating any thrust of the expanding soil through the release of the pipe. This allows the ground to expand without burdening the load-bearing structure.
