Among the various solutions available, the use of lightened bidirectional slabs helps in making schools more structurally stable by reducing the overall weight of the building, therefore offering more seismic resistance. Less weight also means lower cost due to less reliance on steel.
Moreover, the structural performance of a lightened bidrectional slabs allows for the creation of large spans with reduced thickness, improving the vertical positioning for supporting walls and columns.
