5 Geoplast projects that show sustainability pays off

Sustainability pays off

Geoplast projects prove that sustainability is not just good for the environment – it also cuts costs, speeds up construction, and boosts long-term profitability.

PROFIT FROM SUSTAINABILITY

In our projects, sustainability has proven to be an asset – not a cost. From reducing concrete use to improving energy efficiency, our products have delivered measurable economic benefits to construction projects around the world, driving both environmental performance and profitability. Here are five project examples that show how sustainability pays off.

Up to 30 % less concrete
New Nautilus Evo – Designer Outlet, CroatiaNew Nautilus Evo lightened the foundation slab, reducing concrete use by 30 %. In addition to ensuring structural performance, it lowered carbon emissions and material costs – helping the investor meet sustainability goals and reduce expenses.

3x lower excavation volume
Aquabox – Industrial warehouse, CanadaAquabox resolved high groundwater issues using a single-layer stormwater system, reducing excavation volume by three times compared to gravel. This minimized soil removal and transport, significantly cutting flood risks and installation costs.

100 m²/h setup
Runfloor – Lidl green driveway, BresciaRunfloor enabled the construction of a sustainable green driveway at a speed of 100 m² per hour per worker. With rapid installation and lower labor costs, the project showed that green infrastructure can be both sustainable and financially viable.

Up to 35 % lower energy use
Completa – supermarket in BolognaThe extensive Completa green roof helped improve the supermarket’s insulation, reducing energy use by up to 35 %. Lower cooling demands and energy bills turned this sustainable upgrade into a long-term economic gain for the owner.

Rainwater tank in 4 days
New Elevetor Tank – Craig House, EdinburghNew Elevetor Tank helped build a 1,900 m³ rainwater tank in just 4 days. Its fast, manual installation reduced equipment needs, labor time, and weather-related delays – proving that sustainable water management can go hand in hand with construction efficiency.
