Its expertise covers structural analysis, design support, and the application of Geoplast solutions, providing professionals with technical input throughout the project development process.
Federico Minaldo’s seminar on lightweight slab design
On Friday 9 October from 13:40 – 14:00 at the ISI Square, Federico Minaldo, Geoplast Consulting Partner and Geoplast Chief Engineering Officer, will hold the seminar “Design of lightweight reinforced-concrete slabs – design rules and practical cases”, focusing on the design of lightweight reinforced-concrete slabs, sizing rules, and practical case studies.

New Nautilus for lightened bidirectional slabs
New Nautilus is a recycled plastic void formerly used to create lightened bidirectional reinforced concrete slabs. By reducing concrete volume and slab self-weight, it helps achieve larger spans, fewer columns, and flat soffits that simplify MEP distribution and interior layouts. It is particularly suitable for commercial buildings, hospitals, schools, and parking structures where span length and flexible space planning are priorities.

Skynet for raised ribbed slabs and structural fills
Skynet is a disposable recycled plastic formwork that creates ribbed slabs supported by concrete columns, ideal for structural fills, crawl spaces, height compensation, and foundations over expansive or irregular soils. Its modular bases, tubes, and domes form a raised structural deck that directs concrete only where it is needed, helping manage loads, and reduce unnecessary fill.

Rootbox for urban trees under paved surfaces
Rootbox is a modular underground structure that provides protected, aerated soil volume for trees in streets, plazas, and parking areas. Installed below pavements and slabs, it supports traffic loads while maintaining uncompacted soil around roots, reducing pavement heave and conflicts with utilities. Rootbox also allows integration of irrigation, drainage, and other MEP lines through its open side grids.
