NEW ELEVETOR TANK–
Why use new elevetor tank to realize a CLS cast on-site tank?
The structure created with NEW ELEVETOR TANK permits an optimal distribution of the applied loads but also permits the reduction of the base thickness and avoids the realization of pilars or internal partitions so that the CLS consumption is limited. As it is a stationary formwork, the operations of formworking and formwork removal for the base cast are avoided but also the use of prefabricated elements which are usually cumbersome and are difficult to move in the yard is avoided.
Is this system tank transitable?
If the system is adequately designed, it can stand heavier loads (first category). However, we always recommend to contact our technical unit for the tank correct sizing.
Can the system be supported by the plastic pipes only?
No, the PVC tubes are the “feet” of the elements but they need to be reinforced and filled with the concrete, therefore they’re just stationary formworks and they does not have a supporting function.
Why is the base grille important?
The base grille permits the avoiding tubes movements during the cast stage. It mantains them well aligned and perfectly vertical ( La griglia di base consente di evitare lo spostamento dei tubi nel corso delle operazioni di getto, mantenendoli ben allineati e in posizione perfettamente verticale (spanning of 58 cm).
The grille permits also the simplification and acceleration of the system place.
Does the tubes have to be reinforced?
It depends on the type of load and on the height of the system that have to be realized. If the foundation is not very high and have to be placed under a not so trafficable area, the reinforcement is not needed. In any case contact our technical unit that could give all the needed advices about the system.
When can this type of system be used?
It can be used to realize accumulation or millwork tanks. The system is convenient in the case of limited surfaces and when there aren’t issues with the escavation depth due to the aquifer.
Can some inspection chambers be installed in an NEW ELEVETOR TANK system?
Is it possible but only if the height of the system permits the movement of a person. As it is a modular structure,it is costumizable depending on the needs.
How does the system behave in the case of seismic issues?
The structure of New Elevetor Tank is not designed for horizontal load direction caused by an earthquake; the strucuture’s body should be designed in order to insert some elements that may stand these kind of stress. In this case we’re referring to the perimetric walls which contains the tank or internal vertical elements (partitions) that are inserted in the plastic system.
If the tank measures are not the exact multiple of the formworks, is there a compensation system?
If the formworks need to be cut, we recommend the creation of a support for the side wall such as a cast on-site shelf or a simple wooden beam nailed to the wall.
If, on the other hand, the tubes are against the wall, a polystyrene listel needs to be inserted in order to avoid the infiltration of CLS in the tank during the pouring stage.
