High load-bearing capacity with full MEP accessibility: Matrix redefines raised concrete flooring

High load-bearing capacity with full MEP accessibility: Matrix redefines raised concrete flooring
  • Matrix creates usable MEP space inside a reinforced concrete raised floor.

  • The base-grid maps routes fast, so installations stay organized and accessible.

  • You get heavy-duty performance without metal substructures.

DISCOVER MATRIX

Matrix maximizes MEP space in large-scale buildings

The main challenge when designing a hospital, airport, data center or other technical buildings is not only routing MEP systems, but doing it without compromising structural performance, long-term accessibility, or design flexibility. That is exactly what Matrix was engineered to solve.

Matrix is a modular formwork system for reinforced concrete raised floors. Unlike conventional raised floor solutions with metal substructures, Matrix creates a monolithic concrete slab with Class 6 constant load-bearing capacity of up to 10,000 kg/m², while also improving acoustics and allowing complete freedom in floor finishes.

Matrix combines high performance with a simple and precise installation process

The installation process follows four simple steps:

  • Base grids are laid on the existing slab to define the MEP layout,
  • Electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems are installed with precision,
  • Flat-dome formwork modules are positioned above them,
  • Completing it with steel mesh reinforcement and concrete casting to create a seamless, walkable, fire-resistant slab.

With only 15 cm of total height, Matrix provides 10-12 cm net clearance and up to 40 cm routing width for MEP systems, maximizing usable space with a minimal structural footprint.

Why is Matrix a smarter choice?

  • CLASS 6 constant load bearing capacity,
  • Full MEP inspectability,
  • Improved seismic behavior,
  • Restrained differential settlements,
  • Compatible with any floor finish,
  • Better acoustic performance,
  • 100% made out of recycled plastic.
