Parking lot Ipercoop, Reggio Emilia

The Ipercoop Reggiolo supermarket, Reggio Emilia, needed a stormwater management solution for the parking area. Drening solved the problem and provided reliable runoff control for this busy commercial site.

Drening creates underground basins that drain and store runoff water below the asphalt surface. Crews installed its elements under 1,400 m² of parking with shallow excavation and fast on-site assembly. The modular layout forms voids that capture water during heavy rain. Together, the connected basins store up to 490 m³ of water.

Stored water flows into the surrounding soil or the downstream drainage network. As a result, Drening reduces peak flow into the sewers and limits flooding during storms. This innovation keeps the site usable and reduces the risk of damage.
