The project plans the demolition of the existing area and the reconstruction and redevelopment of a new Terminal 1 Center and Boarding Area B. The new boarding area B will be provided with <strong>24 fully-operating gates,<\/strong> among which <strong>6 will accommodate international arrivals<\/strong>. Then, connection walkaways located post-security will provide easy access to International Boarding Area A and Boarding Area C.\r\n\r\nThis is a <strong>$2.4 billion project<\/strong> that is going to be completed from 2016\u00a0 to 2024. The new Terminal 1 will be a <strong>500,000 square foot boarding area (46.451 sqm. ca.), <\/strong>that is anticipated to receive at minimum an <a href=\"https:\/\/new.usgbc.org\/leed\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Environmental LEED\u00a9 Gold certification.<\/a>\r\n\r\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-67078 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/IMG_4340.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1240\" height=\"500\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/IMG_4340.jpg 1240w, https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/IMG_4340-300x121.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/IMG_4340-768x310.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/IMG_4340-1024x413.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/IMG_4340-224x90.jpg 224w, https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/IMG_4340-124x50.jpg 124w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1240px) 100vw, 1240px\" \/>\r\n\r\nGeoplast contributed to the construction of Terminal 1, Boarding Area B, with<a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/products\/formworks\/geotub\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> Geotub<\/a> our reusable formwork system in ABS technopolymer for circular and oval columns.
