In particular, Geoplast gave its contribution during <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/2006_Winter_Olympics\">2006 Turin Winter Games <\/a>and <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/2014_Winter_Olympics\">2014 Sochi Olympics Games<\/a>. The products used for this purpose were:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/products\/foundations\/modulo\/\">Modulo<\/a>, the permanent crawl space formwork;<\/li>\r\n \t<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/products\/formworks\/geopanel-star\/\">Geopanel Star<\/a>, the reusable adjustable columns formwork in ABS technopolymer;<\/li>\r\n \t<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/products\/formworks\/geotub\/\">Geotub<\/a>, Reusable formwork system in ABS technopolymer for circular and oval columns.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n&nbsp;\r\n<h2 style=\"margin-bottom: 2px;\"><strong>2006 Winter Olympic Games in Turin, Italy<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n<h3 style=\"margin-top: 0;\"><strong>The Olympic Village<\/strong><\/h3>\r\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-70844 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Olympics_2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1240\" height=\"500\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Olympics_2.jpg 1240w, https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Olympics_2-300x121.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Olympics_2-768x310.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Olympics_2-1024x413.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Olympics_2-224x90.jpg 224w, https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Olympics_2-124x50.jpg 124w, https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Olympics_2-570x230.jpg 570w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1240px) 100vw, 1240px\" \/>\r\n\r\n<strong>For 2006 Winter Olympics Games<\/strong> was chosen<a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/products\/foundations\/modulo\/\"> Modulo<\/a>, our permanent crawl space formwork, that perfectly lent itself to the foundations of the <strong>Olympic Village<\/strong>, which was the residence of the athletes during the games.\r\n\r\n<strong>Turin\u2019s Olympic Village project,<\/strong> was coordinated by an Italian Architect, who proposed a variation on the theme of urban residences. In fact, the residential zone has been built to a housing principle governed by few choices: a chequerboard plan overlooking the hill; a surface design entirely given over to pedestrians; the varied repetition of the same building type \u2013 a <strong>6-7 storey block<\/strong> proposed approximately <strong>40 times in a unifying and orderly style<\/strong> that intensifies to the west and thins out to the south. The whole shares the faith expressed by experiences in Berlin during the \u201990s, which with easy and sustained attention to the suburbs fashioned similar urban densities, using a pattern and repetition of buildings that nonetheless managed to retain their specific individuality (here played using color too).\r\n\r\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-70858 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Olympics_3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1240\" height=\"500\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Olympics_3.jpg 1240w, https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Olympics_3-300x121.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Olympics_3-768x310.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Olympics_3-1024x413.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Olympics_3-224x90.jpg 224w, https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Olympics_3-124x50.jpg 124w, https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Olympics_3-570x230.jpg 570w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1240px) 100vw, 1240px\" \/>\r\n\r\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/products\/foundations\/modulo\/\">Modulo<\/a> was used for the foundations of the residences and was a good choice because it physically separated the building from the ground guaranteeing a <strong>healthy environment<\/strong> for the building&#8217;s inhabitants. It protected the residences from Radon Gas and Rising damp and increased the load-bearing capacity of the foundation. The final result is a modern building with a monolithic structure, stable and with an excellent seismic resistance.\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/products\/foundations\/modulo\/\">Modulo<\/a> really contributed to the construction of an environment that could definitely offer a <strong>better living quality<\/strong> for the athletes that stayed there.\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n<h2 style=\"margin-bottom: 2px;\"><strong>2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n<h3 style=\"margin-top: 0;\"><strong>Sochi Bobsleigh Track Race<\/strong><\/h3>\r\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-70866 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Olympics_4.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1240\" height=\"500\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Olympics_4.jpg 1240w, https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Olympics_4-300x121.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Olympics_4-768x310.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Olympics_4-1024x413.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Olympics_4-224x90.jpg 224w, https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Olympics_4-124x50.jpg 124w, https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Olympics_4-570x230.jpg 570w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1240px) 100vw, 1240px\" \/>\r\n\r\nFor the project of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.russiarocks.me\/listing\/sochi-bobsleigh\">Bobsleigh Track<\/a> was chosen <a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/products\/formworks\/geopanel-star\/\">Geopanel Star,<\/a> which was used to build the columns of the large installation from where the bobsleighs depart and descend. The track was located in the Sliding Center \u201cSanki\u201d, Rzhanaya Polyana, right next to the Krasnaya Polyana Resort in Sochi, Russia, a cozy and picturesque town half hour ride from Sochi. This is one of the only bobsleigh tracks in Eastern Europe, built in 2012 for the 2014 Sochi Olympic Games, <strong>1km long, 121m elevation and 17 over-banks<\/strong> giving an impressive <strong>maximum speed of 120 km\/h.<\/strong>\r\n\r\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-70873 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Olympics_5.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1240\" height=\"500\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Olympics_5.jpg 1240w, https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Olympics_5-300x121.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Olympics_5-768x310.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Olympics_5-1024x413.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Olympics_5-224x90.jpg 224w, https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Olympics_5-124x50.jpg 124w, https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Olympics_5-570x230.jpg 570w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1240px) 100vw, 1240px\" \/>\r\n\r\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/products\/formworks\/geopanel-star\/\">Geopanel Star<\/a> is a modular and reusable formwork, made of high resistance ABS. It makes possible to create <strong>different size columns<\/strong> with the same panels and it does not need any mechanical mean for the movements in the worksite. In this case, it was perfect, thanks to its high strength it was possible to build the high columns of Bobsleigh track. In fact, our solution can take all the wear and tear of a construction site, while simplifying the concrete forming tasks and improving the site logistics. It is <strong>adjustable to any column and worksite size.<\/strong>\r\n<h3><strong>Fisht, Sochi Winter Olympic Stadium<\/strong><em><strong>\r\n<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\r\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-70880 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Olympics_7.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1240\" height=\"500\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Olympics_7.jpg 1240w, https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Olympics_7-300x121.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Olympics_7-768x310.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Olympics_7-1024x413.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Olympics_7-224x90.jpg 224w, https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Olympics_7-124x50.jpg 124w, https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Olympics_7-570x230.jpg 570w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1240px) 100vw, 1240px\" \/>\r\n\r\n<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Fisht_Olympic_Stadium\">Fisht Winter Olympic Stadium<\/a> was built with the contribution of our solution for round columns<a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/products\/formworks\/geotub\/\"> Geotub.<\/a> The Stadium was designed by <a title=\"Populous (company)\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Populous_%28company%29\">Populous<\/a> and <a title=\"United Kingdom\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/United_Kingdom\">British<\/a> design consultancy <a title=\"BuroHappold Engineering\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/BuroHappold_Engineering\">BuroHappold Engineering.<\/a> The roof was built from approximately <strong>36,500 square meters (393,000\u00a0sq\u00a0ft)<\/strong> of ethylene tetrafluoroethylene (<a title=\"ETFE\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/ETFE\">ETFE<\/a>) and was designed to give the roof the appearance of snowy peaks. The internal smoothness of the formwork, guarantee a pleasant finishing look and the final result is possible without using cranes or any other mechanical lifting means.
