Between net-zero challenges and the inert building industry, architects are in the hotspot of finding effective and sustainable solutions for their projects.\r\n\r\nWe have engineered a range of solutions to help the architects build more resilient cities, and they are ready to be used as early as tomorrow:\r\n\r\n<h3>Improving surface permeability with grass and gravel<\/h3>\r\n\r\nOne of the biggest problems of city growth is impervious asphalt surfaces intensifying the already critical issues of flooding and urban heat islands. Recent flooding events have urged the need for more efficient and sustainable solutions able to enhance the existing sewer systems or function independently of them.\r\n\r\nUnderground basins created with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/products\/water\/aquabox\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Aquabox<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/products\/water\/new-elevetor-tank\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">New Elevetor Tank<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/products\/water\/drening\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Drening<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/products\/water\/drainpanel\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Drainpanel<\/a>, along with the surface drainage systems such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/products\/water\/geocell\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Geocell<\/a>, are designed to successfully manage the rainwater influx under <a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/solutions\/water\/residential-and-commercial-buildings-drainage\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">buildings<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/solutions\/water\/parking-lots-drainage\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">paved areas<\/a>, and enable water harvesting for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/solutions\/water\/irrigation-public-parks\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">irrigation<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/solutions\/water\/household-rainwater-harvesting\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">household purposes<\/a>, or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/solutions\/water\/fire-protection-water-storage-tanks\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">fire protection<\/a>.\r\n\r\n<h3>Reducing urban heat islands with green roofs and walls<\/h3>\r\n\r\nGreen walls and roofs act as a natural thermal shield able to reduce the building\u2019s energy requirements by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/blog\/drainroof-43-energy-savings\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">43 %<\/a>.
