Reducing urban heat islands with green roofs and walls<\/h3>\r\n\r\nGreen walls and roofs act as a natural thermal shield able to reduce the building\u2019s energy requirements by 43 %<\/a>. If applied to each new project, they can also lower the temperature of local neighborhoods, reducing the effect of the urban heat island.\r\n\r\nWall-Y<\/a> is designed for creating green walls<\/a>, while Drainroof<\/a> and Completa<\/a> are used for growing extensive<\/a> or intensive<\/a> roof gardens.
