While architects are now trying to incorporate \u2018the new reality\u2019 into the designs of new schools, we are reviewing all the ways we helped build them over the years. Here are some of the school projects we have managed to construct in a cost-effective and sustainable way.\r\n\r\n<h2><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/projects\/parissud-university-biologypharmacychemistry-center-of-excellence-paris-france\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Paris-Sud University &#8211; Biology-Pharmacy-Chemistry Center of Excellence, Paris, France<\/a><\/strong><\/h2>\r\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/projects\/parissud-university-biologypharmacychemistry-center-of-excellence-paris-france\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-142563\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/1-PARIS-SUD-UNIVERSITY-Paris-1-e1610282271793.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1240\" \/><\/a>\r\n\r\n<p style=\"font-size: 1.1em;\"><strong>Solutions applied: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/solutions\/formwork\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Formwork<\/a>\r\n<strong>Products used: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/products\/formworks\/geopanel\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Geopanel<\/a><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p style=\"padding-top: 0.7em;\">Geoplast formwork panels were first chosen as a cost-effective solution for the construction of foundation walls in Biology-Pharmacy-Chemistry Center of Excellence at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.universite-paris-saclay.fr\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Paris-Sud University<\/a>. They proved to be so adaptable that the construction team continued using them throughout the whole 85,000 m2 worksite.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<h2><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/projects\/duale-hochschule-stuttgart-\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Duale Hochschule, Stuttgart, Germany<\/a><\/strong><\/h2>\r\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/projects\/duale-hochschule-stuttgart-\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-142571\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/2-DUALE-HOCHSCHULE-STUTTGART.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1240\" \/><\/a>\r\n\r\n<p style=\"font-size: 1.1em;\"><strong>Solutions applied: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/solutions\/slabs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Slabs<\/a>\r\n<strong>Products used: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/products\/slabs\/new-nautilus-evo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New Nautilus Evo<\/a><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p style=\"padding-top: 0.7em;\">Danish architects <a href=\"https:\/\/3xn.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">3XN<\/a> planned to avoid using numerous massive columns that would interrupt the interior space. They also knew that the full concrete slabs would become too thick and heavy. Our bidirectional formwork was used to build <a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/insights\/tag\/voided-slabs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">voided slabs<\/a>, which were much lighter and made the building seismically more resistant.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<h2><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/projects\/university-om-santo-domingo-dominican-republic\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">University O&amp;M, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic<\/a><\/strong><\/h2>\r\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/projects\/university-om-santo-domingo-dominican-republic\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-142598\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/3-UNIVERSITY-OM-SANTO-DOMINGO.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1240\" \/><\/a>\r\n\r\n<p style=\"font-size: 1.1em;\"><strong>Solutions applied: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/solutions\/multi-solution\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Multi Solution<\/a>\r\n<strong>Products used: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/products\/formworks\/geopanel\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Geopanel, <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/products\/formworks\/geopanel-star\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Geopanel Star, <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/products\/slabs\/geosky\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Geosky<\/a><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p style=\"padding-top: 0.7em;\">The building was located in a dense urban area that was difficult to access. Our formwork for columns and slabs was chosen as a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/insights\/how-geoplast-formworks-make-building-more-profitable\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cost-efficient and space-saving<\/a> solution for the inaccessible construction site.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<h2><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/projects\/a-new-courtyard-at-wynberg-girls-high-school-cape-town\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wynberg Girls High School, Cape Town, South Africa<\/a><\/strong><\/h2>\r\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/projects\/a-new-courtyard-at-wynberg-girls-high-school-cape-town\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-142612\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/5-A-NEW-COURTYARD-AT-WYNBERG-GIRLS-HIGH-SCHOO-8f828dd470ff8c0e833f7fa311fcc6b7.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1240\" \/><\/a>\r\n\r\n<p style=\"font-size: 1.1em;\"><strong>Solutions applied: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/solutions\/green\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Green<\/a>\r\n<strong>Products used: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/products\/green\/drainroof\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Drainroof<\/a><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p style=\"padding-top: 0.7em;\">The Wynberg Girls High School needed an extension of 8 new classrooms. The architects added two wings with 4 classrooms on either side of the existing courtyard, covering them with sloped green roofs. Our Drainroof was used in the construction of the roofs, allowing the prevention of water run-off and the protection of the waterproof membrane.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<h2><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/projects\/drainage-basin-at-the-university-campus-jolanda-di-savoia-italy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">University Campus, Jolanda di Savoia, Italy <\/a><\/strong><\/h2>\r\n<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/projects\/drainage-basin-at-the-university-campus-jolanda-di-savoia-italy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-142622\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/6-DRAINAGE-BASIN-AT-THE-UNIVERSITY-CAMPUS-57c18b7600d426afae2d9abdb04469d1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1240\" \/><\/a><\/strong>\r\n\r\n<p style=\"font-size: 1.1em;\"><strong>Solutions applied: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/solutions\/water\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Water<\/a>\r\n<strong>Products used: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/products\/water\/drainpanel\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Drainpanel<\/a><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p style=\"padding-top: 0.7em;\">Our Drainpanel was used for the construction of a 300 m\u00b2 and 400m\u00b3 lamination and infiltration drainage basin. There was limited space on site, so the basin had to be built on overlapping levels.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<h2><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/projects\/sedum-roof-for-a-primary-school-united-kingdom\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bolnore Village Primary School, Haywards Heath, United Kingdom<\/a><\/strong><\/h2>\r\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/projects\/sedum-roof-for-a-primary-school-united-kingdom\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-142631\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/9-SEDUM-ROOF-FOR-A-PRIMARY-SCHOOL-ad0dc7dcce181b732a0cf1c776868418.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1240\" \/><\/a>\r\n\r\n<p style=\"font-size: 1.1em;\"><strong>Solutions applied: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/solutions\/green\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Green<\/a>\r\n<strong>Products used: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/products\/green\/completa\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Completa<\/a><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p style=\"padding-top: 0.7em;\">Our sedum system Completa was used for the creation of a 30% sloped roof garden. Completa modular trays allowed great savings by reducing the installation time, while fulfilling the highest energy efficiency criteria.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<h2><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/projects\/new-gymnasium-at-university-of-western-cape-south-africa\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New Gymnasium at University of Western Cape, South Africa<\/a><\/strong><\/h2>\r\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/projects\/new-gymnasium-at-university-of-western-cape-south-africa\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/new-gimnasium-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1240\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-142683\" \/><\/a>\r\n\r\n<p style=\"font-size: 1.1em;\"><strong>Solutions applied: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/solutions\/foundations\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Foundations<\/a>\r\n<strong>Products used: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/products\/foundations\/new-elevetor\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New Elevetor, <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/products\/foundations\/modulo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Modulo<\/a><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p style=\"padding-top: 0.7em;\">Geoplast&#8217;s New Elevetor and Modulo systems were used in the construction of foundations. Our products were used to create ventilated crawl spaces that allowed the elimination of rising damp and Radon gas mitigation.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<h2><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/projects\/ventilated-foundations-at-university-of-padua-new-campus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New Campus at University of Padua, Italy<\/a><\/strong><\/h2>\r\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/projects\/ventilated-foundations-at-university-of-padua-new-campus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-142649\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/12-VENTILATED-FOUNDATIONS-AT-UNIVERSITY-965b434f7f370066dc51902f70b0219c.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1240\" \/><\/a>\r\n\r\n<p style=\"font-size: 1.1em;\"><strong>Solutions applied: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/solutions\/foundations\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Foundations<\/a>\r\n<strong>Products used: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/products\/foundations\/modulo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Modulo, <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/products\/foundations\/multimodulo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Multimodulo<\/a><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p style=\"padding-top: 0.7em;\">Geoplast formwork was used in the construction of ventilated foundations at the new campus of University of Padua.
