Cement production alone is responsible for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.earth-syst-sci-data.net\/10\/195\/2018\/essd-10-195-2018.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">8% in global CO2 emissions<\/a>.\r\n\r\nOur products made of recycled plastic support more sustainable airport design in different ways. Reducing time due to easy and fast mounting and demounting,\r\n&#8211; Reducing \u00a0transport costs due to its stackability and small weight,\r\n&#8211; Avoiding use of non-sustainable formworks such as wooden or metal,\r\n&#8211; Sustainability improvements obtained by use of Drainroof are:\r\n&#8211; The energy saved due to elimination of roof overheating,\r\n&#8211; Better water drainage provide due to high rainwater disposal capability,\r\n&#8211; Better waterproofing,\r\n&#8211; Time-saving for its modularity and easy mounting.\r\n<h3><a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/projects\/adnan-menderes-airport-futuristic-terminal-izmir-turkey\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">4) Adnan Menderes airport in Izmir<\/a><\/h3>\r\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/projects\/adnan-menderes-airport-futuristic-terminal-izmir-turkey\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-109009 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/izmir.jpg\" alt=\"Adnan Menderes airport in Izmir\" width=\"980\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/izmir.jpg 980w, https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/izmir-300x122.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/izmir-768x313.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/izmir-224x91.jpg 224w, https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/izmir-123x50.jpg 123w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 980px) 100vw, 980px\" \/><\/a>\r\n\r\nThe futuristic project for new <a href=\"http:\/\/www.adnanmenderesairport.com\/en-EN\/Pages\/Main.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Adnan Menderes airport<\/a> will cover 185,000 m2. It includes ventilated foundations of 9,600 m2 built with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/products\/foundations\/modulo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Modulo<\/a>. Modulo created new level which is even with existing beams. Use of Modulo decreased the weight of the slab for 45%, because aerated concrete wasn\u2019t used. It also decreases work time: mounting Modulo formwork on area of 1,600 m2 took just two days.\u00a0The advantages of Modulo in terms of sustainability it provided are:\r\n&#8211; Reduced energy and costs due to less amount of poured concrete,\r\n&#8211; Reduced time due to fast mounting and demounting,\r\n&#8211; Improved seismic resilience.\r\n<h3><a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/projects\/linate-airport-draining-car-park-milan-italy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">5) Linate airport in Milano<\/a><\/h3>\r\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/projects\/linate-airport-draining-car-park-milan-italy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-109043 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/linate2.jpg\" alt=\"Linate airport in Milano\" width=\"980\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/linate2.jpg 980w, https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/linate2-300x122.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/linate2-768x313.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/linate2-224x91.jpg 224w, https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/linate2-123x50.jpg 123w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 980px) 100vw, 980px\" \/><\/a>\r\n\r\nNew car park by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.milanolinate-airport.com\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Linate airport<\/a> is equipped with three rainwater basins under new parking lot. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/products\/water\/drening\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Drening<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.geoplastglobal.com\/en\/products\/water\/drainpanel\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Drainpanel<\/a> were used to create these underground accumulation chambers for rainwater management and flood prevention. Easily laid on the ground (Drening) or mounted one onto another (Drainpanel), the modules speed up the whole process. Sustainability is achieved through:\r\n&#8211; Effective water management that prevents flooding,\r\n&#8211; Time-saving because of stackability and ease of mounting,\r\n&#8211; Cost-saving due to no machinery needed,\r\n&#8211; Low in-situ invasiveness during mounting.","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Airports today aim to meet high standards in sustainability.
